What type of security light is this, and what powers it? This is a hardwired security light that is AC powered. Why might the motion sensor not be working as expected? There are a few possible reasons: 1) The sensing distance may not be properly adjusted for the actual area, 2) The motion sensor must be aimed at the area where motion needs to be detected, and 3) small animals like squirrels may not trigger the sensor.

Can the motion sensor light be installed on the opposite side of a security camera? No, it is recommended to install the motion light on the same side as the camera, and keep them at least 5 feet apart, as the infrared rays can interfere with the camera's proper functioning.

Can this security light be mounted horizontally? We recommend vertical installation, as horizontal mounting may affect the sensing angle and lighting range of the sensor.

Does this security light have a dusk-to-dawn (D2D) function? No, this model does not have a D2D feature.
